Juice #2

Four hours after our “breakfast” juice, we were starving! This juice has nice kick (thanks to the jalapeño) and isn’t too sweet. Bottoms up.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 bunch of carrot tops
  • 2 zucchini
  • 1 jalapeño
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, per glass

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Clean all of your fruits and veggies! Push the zucchini and jalapeño through first, then the carrot tops, then the blackberries. photo 2 (13)photo 5 (8)photo 4 (11)photo 3 (13)

2. Now, push the pulp back through. For us, our juicer disassembles easily and we scooped the pulp out into a bowl, put the juicer back together, and threw the pulp down the shoot. We repeated this close to ten times, and our juice doubled in size. No extra fruit or veggies added, and we got so much more juice than we expected. We really really recommend re-juicing your pulp until it only dribbles out some juice!

3. Stir in chia seeds and drink up!

INFORMATION (FYI, TMI)

Day One. M was lucky enough to have this week coincide with her time of the month, so maybe we check back with her later. Suffice it to say that she is craving anything and everything that isn’t a vegetable juice. L is faring much better. She is excited and anticipating the outcome of the juice cleanse. She is ready for the challenge and definitely feeling positive. She feels this will be an enlightening experience for the Cooper wives.

Bisous,
