Fruit and Vegetable Waffle (GF)

We are definitely not having an issue coming up with delicious ways to get our daily servings of fruit and vegetables in solid form!

INGREDIENTS

  • waffle mix
  • vegetable pulp
  • 2 small pears, chopped
  • cream spun honey
  • cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare waffle mix according to packaged instructions, but half the amount of mix recommended. Replace with vegetable pulp. Mix together and pour into your waffle maker. (Chef’s Note: let these waffle cook twice as long as normal ones. Trust us.)

2. Throw some butter in a medium sauce pan and toss in the pears. Sauté over medium heat until softened. Sprinkle cinnamon over the pears and stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey, depending on how much you like on your waffles. Bring to a simmer, then set aside for drizzling.

3. When the waffles are finished, move those healthy pups to a plate. Drizzle the cinnamon honey pears on top and dig in to a truly delicious square meal.
