Juice #12

To end the day, we gathered our remaining vegetables we are allotted and juiced them all into a mean green detoxing machine.

  • 5 carrots
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 4 swiss chard leaves
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1/2 of a banana pepper
  • a handful of cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, per glass

End of day three. We are a third of the way through, which actually sounds slightly disheartening. On the bright side, after our 1st lunch juice tomorrow we will be halfway done. Today, we felt better overall. We had increased energy (compared to yesterday) and no longer felt foggy. Seriously, yesterday we felt high. Dry mouth and all. Today was much better, and we are looking forward to tomorrow. We are starting to wonder if maybe juicing isn’t for us. We seem to peak in the afternoons, both physically and mentally. Once night falls, we are hungry (extremely hungry), our cravings return, and we don’t feel as great. While researching beforehand, the majority of the information out there says to listen to your body and mind. We already eat extremely well, rarely eating meat, and only eating healthy fats and sugars. We’ve decided to see how we feel waking up on Thursday, day five. We don’t like to quit (anything, ever), but we also know that we don’t have anything to gain from forcing ourselves to juice when it’s a daily struggle. For now, we are in this. We’ve figured out some awesome juice recipes, and we are overall enjoying the experience.
